On the Structure of the Spectral Radius Algebras

CONTINUITY IN FUNDAMENTAL LOCALLY MULTIPLICATIVE TOPOLOGICAL ALGEBRAS

Abstract. In this paper, we first derive specific results concerning the continuity and upper semi-continuity of the spectral radius and spectrum functions on fundamental locally multiplicative topological algebras. We continue our investigation by further determining the automatic continuity of linear mappings and homomorphisms in these algebras.

Linear Maps Preserving Invertibility or Spectral Radius on Some $C^{*}$-algebras

Let $A$ be a unital $C^{*}$-algebra which has a faithful state. If $varphi:Arightarrow A$ is a unital linear map which is bijective and invertibility preserving or surjective and spectral radius preserving, then $varphi$ is a Jordan isomorphism. Also, we discuss other types of linear preserver maps on $A$.

Automatic Continuity of Homomorphisms Between Banach algebras and Frechet algebras

On spectral radius of strongly connected digraphs

 It is known that the directed cycle of order $n$ uniquely achieves the minimum spectral radius among all strongly connected digraphs of order $nge 3$. In this paper, among others, we determine the digraphs which achieve the second, the third and the fourth minimum spectral radii respectively among strongly connected digraphs of order $nge 4$.  

Fixed point theorems for generalized quasi-contractions in cone $b$-metric spaces over Banach algebras without the assumption of normality with applications

Spectral radius algebras, Deddens algebras, and weighted shifts

We determine the extended eigenvalues and extended eigenvectors of weighted shifts. We also describe the structure of Deddens algebras and spectral radius algebras associated to weighted shifts. In particular, we show that these algebras are weakly dense in the algebra of all bounded linear operators or in the algebra of lower triangular operators.
